Called me a chickflick, girly, hopeless romantic type of girl, i don't give a damn! yes I LOVE romantic movies while eating ice cream with my garlic facial mask on. there i said it, phew. all of these years, i've been hiding myself in my room watching chickflicks and crying, tissues all over the floor, and yelling "RUN AND GET HER BEFORE SHE LEAVES, YOU STUPID DUMB***!!!" with tears all over the face, your nose gets runny, and you snot then you sigh. Why i've been hiding about it? well, believe it or not, i don't want to embarrassed myself; because i don't want pple to put me in the girly sappy line of the so called whatever group. screw stereotype, pft.
Sleepless in Seattle is a romantic chickflick movie, screened in 1993, played by Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. Oh, Those two never fails me, I wonder why they don't end up together in real life. I love Meg Ryan's simple yet elegant style and, oh Gosh, the way she talks is perfect. i love her voice as Anastasia in Anastasia 1997 film, and i adore her bubbly, effervescent personality in every of her romantic movies. Tom Hanks, one of my best actor, not only he's the voice of Woody in Toy's Story, but he has this father figure style in him which i found it every attractive and warm? The Terminal, You've got mail, Polar express and many others of his movies, i love them all.
anyway, this would be another one of my random post. I just love it so much that i want to write about it and tell the world about it! i mean, c'mon, when you truly love something or someone so much, all you want to do is to tell everyone that you love them right? and show the goodness and the beautifulness in them? and you're not ashamed of doing it, well because you love them. oh, yes, it's me and my hopeless romantic side of life all over again. slap me.
when I feel sad, i think watching a fun comedy romantic movies (with good ending, please) will lighten me up aside from major sweets and carbs intake, or maybe drop down on the bed like a hot potato while listening to sad songs (definitely not celline dion's all by myself, i'm not that... sappy, fyi) with tears all over the face and tissues, wherever they belong on the floor. well, don't you get upset when people treats you like trash? when you're being nice and sincere but then all you've got is nothing but a dodgy treatment? damn it, i have got to stop watching sad movies. it's 'here we go again'.
to conclude, Tom hanks and Meg Ryan are awesomely awesome, and yes i support chickflick romantic, abit of sappy taste of movies. They don't twist your mind and don't worry, I will not fantasize or to fall in love like in a movie, because it is all just a fantasy. i support them because they are entertaining, a mood-swing healer slash an emotional (read: PMS) therapy. and I strongly recommend anyone that has the same movie taste as i do, to watch Sleepless in Seattle and You've got mail, because apparently, Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan played both movies together! what a coincidence, right?

I enjoyed your post Emilia, because even though I'm a guy and guys aren't supposed to like chick flicks, I love 'Sleepless and all those other Meg Ryan movies from the late 80s and 1990s.
Meg Ryan has been my favourite actress for longer than I care to remember and I like the point you made about her voice. She has the most marvellous expressive voice that always goes through me in the nicest possibly.
By the way as you love to watch Tom and Meg in films together don't forget their first film Joe Versus the Volcano. It was released in 1990 and Meg Ryan plays three roles and plays them superbly.
I hope you had a pleasant night!

Thank you for you comment, oh there's no such thing or rules for guys to like or not to like chickflicks! i think those who think that guys aren't suppose to watch chickflicks are those who have shallow minded about the world.
And yes, she does have the most marvellous expressive voice, I wish i have a voice like that. I haven't watch their first ever movie yet, but I surely will watch it as soon as possible.
Thankyou!
